A Bit More About Me…

Ever since I was a young-un I’ve always had a love for storytelling. As a kid I would write short stories about different worlds and people with the most exciting superpowers, and I’ve never left this part of my imagination.

With my love for creative writing being put to use with screenplays, short stories and filmmaking, I have also refined my skills with copywriting and blog content.

Since graduating from the University of Salford with a First in Media and Performance in 2022 where I learnt key skills and gained experience in filmmaking and writing, I have continued to work as a freelancer and practice my skills across different projects. This includes everything from writing short scripts and stories to making short films with friends and working as a videographer across different projects. Whilst doing this, I have been part of Channel 4 and Sharp Future’s Content Creatives programme with a work placement at The Behaviours Agency. Here my skills have been developed and put to use in creative marketing and content creation which nurtured and developed my abilities in copywriting, design and motion graphics. I am skilled in creating a strong tone of voice, individual style, and brand personality, unique to every client to express their brand values in creative ways.

One of my biggest passions is sharing stories that encourage inclusivity and showcase diversity. Classism in the creative industry is a big topic that I actively encourage open conversations and discussions about. Creating more opportunities for people from working-class and disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly in the North of England is something I care strongly about. My determination (and quite a bit of luck) has led me to a position which I am very grateful for, and I feel the importance of creating a more socio-economically diverse workplace to give more opportunities to people who need it. I hope to make a positive change towards a more equal workplace by speaking about this where I can.

No topic or audience is too scary for me to approach, I love a challenge and vary clientele as much as I can to truly explore my creativity and push boundaries with my work.
